Aeration

 

Biological treatment requires a large volume of oxygen to maintain appropriate activities of aerobic microorganisms; therefore, it consumes an extremely large amount of energy (electric power).

 

Fine bubbles have a characteristic of long residence time in water and excellent reactivity due to a large vapor-liquid contact area. By efficiently supplying oxygen, energy consumption can be greatly reduced.

 

In addition, the introduction of Tough Bubbler can reinforce local aeration in areas where dissolved oxygen is low and treatment is unsatisfactory.
Tough Bubbler can be easily installed, as retrofit/upgrade/supplemental measures, in an existing tank when a plant is running, without draining or removing existing equipments in the tank.

Background

As the wastewater treatment load increased with increased production, the aeration capacity needed to be enhanced. Due to space limitations, it was difficult to add a blower, so Tough bubblers, that also can be adjusted according to demand, were installed.
